Santana Shines In Texas
Carlos Santana brought his A game to the Dallas Dos Equis Pavilion, July 6th with the legendary Doobie Brothers opening the sho. It was truly a great pairing of bands that had the whole house shaking their hips and singing the words to to every son. The hi-light of the show was when all members of the Doobie Brothers came out on stage with Santana in a groovy All Star Jam that had the packed crowd on their feet screaming for more. What can you say when you’ve been graced by the presence of a shining star? He wished the sold out show “Love and Wonderment”!
Santana played his many old school hits such as “Evil Ways”and “Oye Coma Va”. The audience sang along to the songs off the Grammy winning “Supernatural” album to the likes of “Put Your Light On” and “Smooth”. The video screens were lit up with close ups, light shows and new video from Santana’s most recent release “Africa Speaks” that is a spectacular arrangement of multi cultural sounds and rhythmic beats produced by the one and only Rick Ruben.
