The Foundry Hits Dallas To A No Show By Fans

Former Iron Maiden lead vocalist, Blaze Bayley brought his newest project, The Foundry to Dallas' RBC Club. The all-star lineup also featured drummer AJ Pero (Twisted Sister), bassist John Moyer (Disturbed) and guitarist Rick Plester (Black Symphony). While the set mostly featured songs from Blaze's solo career and his time with Iron Maiden, they also threw in a few classic covers.

Even though they were performing in a small club, Blaze and company put on a show like they were playing in front of a huge, sold out, European festival. Blaze was in great voice as he belted out each song. He also used the intimacy of the small venue to tell stories and bond with the audience between songs. The rhythm section of Pero and Moyer was rock solid as they were already used to playing together from Adrenaline Mob. Guitarist Rick Plester may have been the least well known of the group, but by the time they finished everyone in the crowd was talking about him. That guy can shred with the best of them!

Highlights included "Voices From The Past," "Man On The Edge," Twisted Sister's "We're Not Gonna Take It," "The Trooper" and the ten minute epic, "The Clansman." For the encores, The Foundry played a song Blaze said he never got to play with Iron Maiden, "Wasted Years" followed by Judas Priest's "Breaking The Law." After the show all four members hung out, signed autographs and took pictures with fans. For a great night of metal, be sure to catch The Foundry when they come to your town.
