Chantilly Ballroom At Hilton Anatole Host Special Nick Jonas Engagement
A crowd of several hundred gathered outside of the Chantilly Ballroom at the Hilton Anatole around 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday to watch Nick Jonas throw down for the Hilton@Play event. The room was teaming with people of every age group, from the very Hilton-esque business men, to the families with small children, and of course, the teenage girls.
Nick debuted as a solo artist in 2010, finally leaving behind his boy-band image and producing the music he has clearly always wanted to make. Five years later and the Jonas brother's solo career is going strong. Nick's set consisted mostly of songs from his 2014 release Nick Jonas. He also included some older songs like Who I Am to please his long term fans.
Even though the show was placed in a ballroom probably most often used for weddings and formal events, his setup included a full size stage, backup singers, two huge screens on either side of the stage, and cameras on cranes capturing the whole show. No element was forgotten, despite the smaller size of the show. In fact, the whole event was made to be above and beyond for the Hilton Honors Members in attendance. With several open bars, a full spread of food, a red carpet for pictures, a photo booth, and a gift bag that included food from Nick's favorite Dallas dives, iTunes gift cards, and a portable phone charger, the Hilton created a very impressive overall event.
