On the 13th of May, I had the privileged opportunity to see Radnor and Rosedale at Nashville's own Rocketown. Honestly, it's been a while since I went to a show in that tiny room with a dozen people watching, and quite honestly, it was one of the best shows I've been to in a while. There is so much passion, vitality, and pure courage in the local music scene, and I am a firm believer that it deserves recognition for what it is.

Even though I went to see Radnor, Rosedale was amazing! Covers of Taylor Swift and A-Ha intermixed with originals like "To My Father" to create a really impressive set. While chatting before the show, I was informed that Warner Carpenter (vocals/guitar), Connor Hoffman (drums), and Salvatore Neglia (guitar) turn into a super-human of sorts when they're together, and if you ever see them live, you'll know how accurate that is. Songs played included "Serenity" and "Chemicals" from their newest album, Serenity Astray, but let's not forget the good-ole My Chemical Romance cover "I'm Not Okay" that closed the night.

All in all, I met some incredibly nice people and listened to some damn-good music. That's really the takeaway; go to some local shows - expand your horizons or you'll never even know what you missed.
