Herman Rarebell - Rock 'N America 2010
Brutal and Relentless Touring Takes Its Toll
So why does a guy who earned 78 gold records and 30 platinum albums worldwide give up a cushy drumming job behind an internationally famous rock band that sold more the 32 million records during his years with the group? Musical direction is the usual suspect, but in Herman Rarebell’s case, he basically tired of the brutal and relentless touring schedule the Scorpions would undertake during the almost twenty years he was with the band. Regardless of the reason, Rarebell has embarked on numerous solo projects during the 14 years he’s been away from the German super group. He recently released the audiobook My Life as a Scorpion and a CD of his collective solo work entitled Herman’s Collection.
