Michael Schenker is a legendary figure in the history of metal guitar. The younger brother of Scorpions founder Rudolph Schenker, the axe man first made a name for himself at the age of 18 in the band, UFO. He wrote the music for most of UFO's dynamic major label debut album on Chrysalis, Phenomenon. The album would become an instant classic anchored by the songs “Doctor Doctor” and “Rock Bottom.” Schenker had a turbulent career with UFO, sometimes walking off stage in mid-song causing shows to be canceled. Before his five-year run with the band would finally end, Schenker would propel UFO to superstar status with the recording of another classic, Lights Out. In 1980, the guitarist formed MSG, and despite his unpredictable behavior over the many years, kept his namesake band alive. This year, Michael Schenker is celebrating MSG’s 30th anniversary with a series of special line-ups gathered for the occasion.  The line-up for Rock N’ America includes Gary Barden, vocals; drum legend Carmine Appice; Elliott Robinson, the owner of Dean Guitars on bass, and Wayne Findler playing guitars and keyboards.
